This is the home page design as a user will see it upon arrival. I have utilised a "floating navigation" as to maximise the image size and therefor it's impact which opens up the space. As the user scrolls down he would see a "sticky nav" which would anchor to the top of his screen.
The main functionality of this website is the search feature, allowing users to find their perfect holiday home. This is why I decided to use the yellow from the logo's colour pallette as it stood out the most. Users can easily distinguish that this is the area where interaction from them is required.
Underneath the main search area, we see the value icons which help ensure a user of the website's credibility. This also helps for SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) allowing search engines to pick up the website in searches.
Then we see some featured listings. This section displays featured properties from any of the listed areas.
As the user scrolls further down the 'floating nav' collpases into the 'stciky nav' bar (the white bar at the top) which always stays anchored to the top of the page for easy access.
This is a view of the "Featured Lisitings" section on the home page.
The last two sections consist of a video player and the website footer.
